My little (or not!?) Makeup Helper

Everyone knows that I love M.A.C.!~
so it's time for me to show another M.A.C. item that I always repurchase.

It's not base makeup or eyeshadow, blush those point makeup.
And this item also not appear in everyone's collection,
but if you have it, it can help you to keep your makeup last longer,
especially those of you like to play with pigments, you should have it!

So what exactly I'm talking about!?

That product I'm talking about is --- Fix+

The one I'm using now is limited edition,
the permanent doesn't have lavender scent in it.

Some info from the official website:

" An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up! "

Made in Canada

Storage period is 24 months

Container volume - 100mL

I love the design of the spray, it got a turning thingy lock,

even I bring it with me to travel, I no need to worry the product will be spill everywhere in my bag.

The mist is so fine... unlike certain setting spray with the particles are too big,

when you spray it, you can see the water drops on your face.

For those who never use or hear about Fix+, you maybe ask why I said it is my makeup helper.

It's because Fix+ has many ways to use it when you putting your makeup on.

1) Used it as toner, to moisture the face before putting makeup

2) Use it as a setting spray after applied setting powder, it helps to reduce the cakey look at the same time helps the base makeup lasts longer.

3) When you plan to use pigment or any mineral eyeshadow, spray on the brush then slightly pad on tissue or cotton pad first before getting the products. This can helps the eyeshadow more vibrant and less fall-out.

4) When you re-touch your makeup in the middle of the day, spray it first and use a tissue slightly pad dry the face, then re-apply the powder. This can helps the makeup looks cakey and heavy.

Seems to be many ways to use it right?

But actually you just need to use small amount to do all the steps,

I remember my last bottle almost lasted me for 6 months.

(Fun Makeup) I went to Africa?

I'm so sorry AGAIN I'm MIA for sooooo long!~

Actually I got about blog which I typed in Chinese which is my primary language,
and you know I'm always the lazy one!~
But I promise I will be slowly translate those blog entries into English,
so that I can share what's my life has been going on!~
Especially lately I'm so into putting makeup on!~
Hopefully you guys will stay with me!~

Today, I want to show you guys that I did a makeup,
which using the same makeup I received from my friend.

Total are 9 M.A.C. Pigments and 1 MAC Fluidline - Rich Ground

Below are the swatches of the M.A.C. Pigment, I categorized into matte and slimmer

But this time I only used the following products shown as below:

MAC Pigments - Silver and Gold

MAC Fluidline - Rich Ground

MAC Paint Pot - Moss Scape

Revlon - Color Stay Eyeliner Pencil

OK! First I need to explain why my title stated that I went to Africa,

normally what you can see in Africa? Animals and forest right?

And now I combined the two elements into this eye makeup look!~

1) I prime my eyelid with M.A.C. Paint Pot - Moss Scape as eye base

2) Then I used M.A.C. Pigment - Silver as the base of the leopard

3) Used Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner Pencil to draw the outline of the leopard

4) M.A.C. Fluidline - Rich Ground to draw the upper lash line

5) Lastly used M.A.C. Pigment - Gold to draw a straight line beneath the lower lash line

A surprise gift from friend ---> Spring Makeup!?

Lately I received a surprise gift from one of my friend...

When I opened the envelop, I did shout out loud and made my hubby shock!

Why!?

Because the things from the envelop are below!!!!!

9 samples of MAC Pigment and 1 MAC Fluidline!!!!

As MAC super fan, how can I not be happy???

Since I never use any MAC Matte pigment before and I would like to test it out,

so if the eye makeup outcome you think it's not nice, please take consideration. =)

This time I just used 4 pigments and the fluidline to achieve this eye makeup look.

Outcome:

True Chartresue - whole eyelid

Landscape Green - outter V corner

Rich Ground Fluidline - Upper and lower lashline

Genuine Orange - first 1/2 lower eyeline

Fuchsia - second 1/2 lower eyeline

Hehe... actually I'm vain and I do admin it!!!

Review: MAC Big Bounce Shadow

In previous blog entry,

I already mentioned that I got 3 items from MAC coming collection - Flighty.

And today I will review 2 items from this collection - Big Bounce Shadow.

The colors are:

- Sizzlin' Diva

- Up the Ante!

This time the shadow MAC claims that it's mousse texture.

By what I saw, the texture really mousse...

I can say even more mousse than Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color!!!

Below are the swatches.

On hand;

Blend it out.

The colors are so Metallic!~

and Up the Ante! has a lot of glitters in it.

when I said it's a review, of course need to apply on eyes.

first 1/2 eyelids - Up the Ante!

second 1/2 eyelids - Sizzlin' Diva

Eyeliner - Rich Ground Fluidline

to test the consistency of the product if it will smudge or what so ever,

I wore it outdoor for 5 hours during daytime with Mr. Sun.

After arrived home.

This Big Bounce Shadow did smudge little bit and also transferred to my lower lashline.

But for me it's already better than Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color,

if I used JS Jelly Eye Color, just need 2 hours then it's gone... gone... gone!!!!~~

How about is it easy to take off?

I used eye makeup remover slightly press on the eye for 10 seconds.

90% has been removed.

One more wipe.

No more eyemakeup!!!~~~

Makeup class by Estee Lauder

I was invited by a PR company that to attend a makeup class held by Estee Lauder

This was my first time to attend their makeup class,

the location was at their beauty center.

Before the class started, Estee Lauder's staff talked about the flow of the makeup class
and what products we will be using during the class

Estee Lauder Staff - Jacqueline

On each table already setup with their skincare and makeup products

also with their catalogs/DMs.

Before we start our makeup, ofcourse we need to do our skincare routine first!

Items and steps as listed at below.

1) Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

2) Take it Away Gentle Cleansing Milk

3) Full Spectrum Brightening Moisture Lotion

4) Full Spectrum Brightening Essence

5) Full Spectrum Brightening Milk Lotion <--- if you have oily skin

Full Spectrum Brightening Moisture Creme <--- if you have dry skin

6) Extra Brightening Eye Creme

7) Full Spectrum Brightening UV Protector SPF 50/PA+++

8) Nutritious Vita Mineral Lip Treatment

After we done with the skincare routine, Jacqueline passed the floor to their Makeup artist - Elaine.

At first, Elaine taught us how to find the foundation shade that suitable for us by using their iMatch color chart

You just need to place the color chart near to your face, then look for the color that close to your original skintone.

the product we used is Advance Brightening GelCreme,

My color shade is 05 COOL CREME

Elaine taught us that it's better to mix the foundation with essence, so that the base makeup will last longer.

foundation: essence - 1: 2

Applied on left side of the face with concealer

Applied foundation on the right side of face but without concealer

Same with foundation, concealer should mix with eye cream to prevent dry lines.

concealer: eyecream - 1:1

After applied:

For the base makeup, last step will be apply powder to set the makeup.

Product used - Cyber hite Brilliant Perfection Pressed powder SPF 25/PA+++

Same with foundation, my color shade is 05 COOL CREME

My face after applied base makeup

Done with the base makeup, ofcourse is time for eye and cheek makeup

Steps:

1) Use brow pencil to define the shade that you want.

2) Then use Brow Setting Gel to set the eye brow

3) Use eyeline to draw the upper lashline.

4) Apply eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner then blend it out, in order to set the eyeliner and create contrast.

color I usd - Pure Color eyeshadow - 22 Purple Passion

in this line, there have a lot of color range that you can choose.

5) Lastly is apply mascara.

Sumptuous Mascara.

Outcome:

Let's close up the eye makeup

Then will be the cheek and lip makeup

When comes to lip makeup, Elaine applied it in a different way

Usually: Apply lipstick first then lipgloss

Elaine: Apply lipgloss first then lipstick

Outcome:

It's more natural and doesn't look too sparkling.

After the makeup class, Estee Lauder gave everyone in the class a paper bag.

Inside had a full size product and 3 sample size products.

The sample size products are:

And the full size product is Full Spectrum Brightening Moisture Lotion

Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers in the world!

This year Mother's Day is really special for me.

Aside from today Zion is already half year old,

this will be my first year to be a mother and celebrate Mother's Day with my hubby and son!

Sadly my mom is at Hong Kong right now, I can't celebrate with her...

But I bought a gift for my grandma for Mother's Day's Gift.

Inside is a Chanel lipstick

Color shade: 40 - Prodigious

Even though my grandma is 70+ years old, but she loves makeup as I do.
I hope she loves my little gift.

Series 1: Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland BOS IV

When comes to using one eyeshadow palette to achieve different eye makeup look,

how can it without the basic but most popular - earth tone eye makeup look!?

The color I used:

(a) White Rabbit

(b) Mushroom

(d) Mad Hatter

This time I made the steps into a GIF, so hopefully is much easy for your girls to view.

1) Apply UPDD as an eyeshadow base為眼影作打底

2) Apply (a) on the first 1/2 of the eyelid

3) Apply (b) on the second 1/2 of the eyelid

4) In the middle of the eyelid apply (c) as transition color

5) on the outter V apply (d) then blend it well

6) on the lower lashline apply (a) - first 1/2, (d) - second 1/2

7) use zero draw the upper and lower lashline

8) Lastly apply mascara.

Finish!!!!

Series 1: Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland BOS III

Oh Yeah!!~~ Another makeup look feature with Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland BOS!

Last eye makeup look is suitable for day-time,

and this time will be for night-out or clubbing!!~~

This will be the look.... Sorry for missing the false eyelashes... I'm running out of it..

Colors I used:

Steps:

1) Whole eyelid applied with (a) Vopal

2) Use Zero eyeliner draw the upper and lower lashline.

3) on the half of the eyelid applied with (c) Oraculum...

(So the eye makeup look will not look boring with grey and black only)

4) Apply (b) Jaberwocky on the upper and lower lashline.

(Which makes the eyeline has has glitter effect)

5) Lastly apply (a) Vopal on the first 1/2 of lower lashline.

Open eye!!~~

Another simple and easy eye makeup look!

Another eye makeup look using the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland BOS.

This time the eye makeup is simple and best for day time!

Below is the finish look of the eye makeup.

Colors I used:

Steps:

1) use (a) Muchness on the first 1/2 of the whole eyelid.

2) then use (b) Absolem on the second 1/2 of the eyelid

3) use (c) Midnight Tea Party in the middle of (1) & (2) as transition color

4) on the outter- v area apply little (d) Chessur

5) use Zero eyeliner on the upper lash line.

6) lastly use (d) Underland as eyeliners on the lower lash line.

Open eye!~

Makeup class by Jill Stuart and iMore.com.hk

I was one of the lucky one who was picked by iMore.com.hk to join their makeup class with Jill Stuart.

The makeup class held in a classroom of one of the university.

The class was started at 6:30pm,

I arrived early, that's why I have enough time to take more pictures for documentation.

The MUA from Jill Stuart setting up the area.

On the table were the products they used during the class.

iMore.com.hk staff- Isis was explaining how the class run.

Ofcourse it's my time to take more pictures!!!

I love this mirror so much!!! Can I have it!?

Below are the products main feature in this makeup class.

Jewel Crystal Eyes Limited Eye Paletee - $380 (Total 2 colors)

This palette contain Pure Crystal Powder, even apply small amount,
the finish is as sparkly as diamond.

It also contain Rose essence and sweet almond oil, not only make the eyeshadow has the sense of rose, but also keep the eyeshadow more vibrant and moist.

102 - amazonite dazzle

103 - sparkling morganite

Petite Jelly Lip Gloss (Mini Lipgloss set) $290 (3 color in a set)

101 - Pretty Tutu
102 - Cherry Whip

Ok! The class has started!

In the picture the one with blazer is the MUA - Cherry Wong

First thing Cherry introduce to us was the Pure Lasting Makeup Base N, ($230/25ml)

1) Fresh - 自然膚色
2) Luminous - 紫色
3) Rosy - 粉紅色

Then is the main feature items which start selling on April 1,

and this time the eyeshadow palette is only sell in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

One of the eyeshadow is green tone which never appear in any collection from Jill Stuart!

Since the model already applied base makeup, Cherry will only focus on the rest.

Today she will demonstrate using 102 - amazonite dazzle.

Step 1: use the base color (b) on the whole eyelid.

Step 2: use the main color (c) on the outter 1/3 eyelid area

Step 3: use highlighter color (a) on the inner 1/3 eyelid area + Brow bone area.

Step: use eyeliner pencil to draw upper eyeline.

Step 5: use the dark color (d) apply on the outter lower lash line and use base color (b) on the inner lower lash line.

Step 6: Curl the eyelashes then apply mascara.

Step 7: Use Blush Blossom to apply on cheek area.

Step 8: Apply petite jelly lip gloss (color 101) slightly on the lips.

Step 9: using kabuki brush to apply highlighter on the cheek bone area.

Finish look!

I did have fun in this makeup class, however the time is limited, the MUA wasn't able to show us all the step starting from base makeup.

Makeup Series: Alice in Wonderland BOS I

Finally I have time and remember to play with my beloved eyeshadow palette from UD

" Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadow "!!!!~~~

This Book of Shadow contains 16 colors, 2 24/7 eyeliner and 1 travel size UDPP.

Below are the swatches on hand....

first set: Upper Right

Second Set: Lower Left

Third Set: U

Forth set: Lower Right

Lastly is the swatches for the eyeliners

OK, this time I decided to have a makeup series only using the items from this BOS.

The first eye makeup will be fitted the theme of Alice in Wonderland.

Below is the finsh look...

Step 1: Use White Rabbit on the first halt of the eyelid.

Step 2: Then use Alice on the second half of the eyelid, don't need to blend it yet!

Step 3: Use Wonderland on top of Alice and White Rabbit as transition color.

Step 4: use Mad Hatter on the outer-V area

Step 5: Use Zero draw the Upper and Lower (second half) eyeliner, then use Flipside to draw the lower (first half) eyeliner.

5 steps to achieve this look, simple right!?

Review + Swatch: MAC Wonder Woman Collection

Yes! I know I'm late for this collection.... I just done fixing all pics and stuffs.

On the day of release,

I went to the counter to join the makeup service before I decide what products I will purchase,

since there have a lot of negative reviews about this collection around blogs and youTube.

Once I arrived the mall... there had a special area for MAC makeup booth for this collection.

There has 2 display racks for the products of this collection.

After informed one of the MUA that I joined the makeup service,

she guided me to the makeup area and have a sit before the incharge MUA will come.

好型既MAC x Wonder Woman導演椅呀!!~~

My MUA is a male.

First thing he asked me is what product I would like to try on.

I told him definitely the Mineralize skinfinish and the pink shade eyeshadow quad.

After 30 mins makeup service, here are the things that I brought with me home.

What inside this MAC plastic bag?

MAC x Wonder Woman Mineralize Skinfinish
MAC x Wonder Woman Penultimate Eyeliner
Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50

If purchase more than $680, have 30ml Cleanse Off Oil as free gift. .

Mineralize Skinfinish I chose Pink Power,

because the MUA said even though I'm NC30-35,
but Pink Power suit me more unless I want sun-tanned look.

(Pink Power for NC 15 - NC25, Golden Lariat for NC30 above)

"Left: Peachy rose with pink shimmer.

Center: Soft rosy bronze.

Right: Soft shell pink with fine shimmer. "

(exactly the color of Wonder Woman's style)

Let's open it!

Why I purchased this mineralize skinfinish ?

It's because this MSF included a blush, bronzer and highlight color.

even thought the size is big, but at least no need to bright a lot of makeup in the bag.

And the size is much bigger than the usual MSF.

The usual MSF is 10g, and this MSF double the size to 20g.

Another item is the marker-looking Penultimate Eyeliner.

Color shade: Rapid Black

From officical website:

"Creates a fastidiously smooth and precisely deep,

dark carbon black liquid line in jet-fast speed.

Versatile in its moves: Fashions any kind of line - bold to superfine. "

This will be my first liquid eyeliner! I hope I can manage to use this perfectly.

I Love the middle shade!~ Satin finish, good for contouring but not orangy.

Now show you the makeup look by MAC MUA.

Now I think you understand why I haven't purchase the eyeshadow quad rught!?

Even though the MUA already applied paint pot before apply the eyeshadow,

but the whole out-look is not sharp at all!

I think it's also because the MUA didn't apply mascara for me,

however the only color is visible is the darkest color from the quad.

Finally, let's show all of you how giant the Mineralize Skinfinish is....

Almost as big as the head of Zion. LOL

My Everyday Super Basic eye makeup

Since my class for masteral not yet start,

so everyday I just keep my eye makeup as simple as it is.

Especially I can't leave Zion alone for long.

My face with Base makeup

PS: I already applied elf mineral eyeshadow primer as eyeshadow base

STEP 1: Draw upper inner eyeliner

Used: Relvon Colorstay twisted eyeliner

Eyes after applied.

STEP 2: Draw Upper outer eyeliner

Used: Bourjois effect Smokey eyeliner

After: the eye seems to be more define and rounded.

STEP 3: Apply eyeshadow

Used: Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio Eyeshadow

After:

Lightest color applied on the whole eyelid

Brown color applied on the eyelid area approximately up to 1 cm height.

Dark Brown color applied on top of the eyeliner.

STEP 4: Apply mascara

Ued: Majolica Majorca Lateest LASH EXPENDER mascara (Brown)

(Apply on upper and lower lashes!)

The final look is....

It's simple right!?

It just take 5 mins to finish the eye makeup!~

Review: MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer

If you ask me what makeup product I needed the most, my one and only one answer is "CONCEALER"!

Because my dark circle is already at the "no-one-can-help" stage,

that's why I tried a lot of brands to find my HG concealer.

Here are the concealers from different brands I had tried.

Drugstore:

elf studio line - liquid: 2 hours after application, it's gone...
maybelline - mineral line: only coverage 50% of my dark circle
relvon - age line: after few hours it will set into my fine lines.

Highend Brand:

mac - select cover up: Even though it's liquid, but somehow it's dry.....
cdp - concealer stick: This is have a lot of rave from people. This does coverage 80-90% of my dark circle, but it's super duper dry!!! I don't understand how can this worth HKD$540!?
bourjois - Black Pen form: Same with elf studio line, few hours then gone in no where.
Dior - 4 color quad (LE): only one color is usable for my skintone, but still dry.

And my current HG concealer is MAC Studio Sculpt concealer

"A creamy concealer that provides full coverage with a natural matte finish.

Brushes on with enough blend time to conceal any size of blemish.

Rich formulation allows you to use a micro-amount of product to even out skin.

Water-resistant and long-wearing."

It has the same packaging with Mac fliudline... A glass jar but slightly bigger....

(Actually this kind of packaging is not really hygiene especially you are using your finger, so make sure you

washed your hand before apply it.)

My color is NC 30

Now let's see how it do the work in covering red area

Amount I used.

I used tapping method to apply the concealer on the red area.

then use loose powder to set the concealer.

so far it did cover >80%

How about in covering dark circle?

Please ignore my yacky naked face!

Close up to see my dark circle clearly.... it has blue and brown tone.

Amount I used... it's enough for applying on both eyes.

Mostly I will only apply on the two corners of my eyes.

Now show you girls the difference. (Left: With , right: without)

is it much better now!?

Lastly is apply to both eyes. compare with the naked eye, is it now more awake?

However this concealer is not suitable to wear it during Winter or you have super dry eye area,

because it will be quite dry and sit into your fine line.

For me, this is my perfect concealer during Summer, especially now the weather is killing me!

Little update about my son - Zion

Last time when I posted Zion's picture, he still inside my tummy...

Now he is already 5 months old (but he doesn't look like one),

most people said he looks like me when I'm still a baby,

but for me, I think he looks like his dad more, since I don't have that big eyes...

All I can say is I'm glad that Zion is growing fast and healthy, that's what I want and need.

My HG Product : MAC Minerialize Skinfinish Natural

So far who read my blog will know that MAC is my favorite makeup brand.

There has one product is my really really true love (HG!!!!)

I already re-purchased this item for twice,

some people may think only re-purchased twice is not a big thing,

but if you can finish 2 same powder products, it shows your love already.

My true love is MAC Minerialize Skinfinish Natural......

From the websie:

"A luxurious domed face powder with minerals,

slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish.

Provides perfect low coverage.

Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.

My color is:

suitable for NC 30 - 35

The packaging is the typical MAC Black compact,

Inside there has a plastic insert to prevent the powder will get messy.

this is the same with the mineralize skinfinish... doom shape

This maybe be comparable with other High-end brand's powder products (like CDP, La Mer etc)

but as a pressed powder, this product for me is graded A!

When I use this product, I usually use with MAC #182 brush,

but for some small area like corner of the nose, I will prefer using EDM Baby Kabuki.

Only swiped once, the whole surface is with product already

let's see the coverage of the products

(Note: if you are looking for the coverage as powder foundation, definitely this is not your choice)

so far it does even out the skin tone of my hand and cover my obvious blood capillaries.

Usually I used this pair with my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer,

then the coverage will be enough already, since I don't really have a lot of skin problem.

Hi Everyone! I'm back on track for blogging!!~~

First entry ofcourse share what are my frequent use makeup at this moment.

The products in this picture more or less I used them everyday.

But ofcourse blush, lipstick and lipgloss is different everyday.

First let's talk about base makeup!

Start from Upper Left:

- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer (nc30) <---- this is my HG concealer for my dark circle

- MAC Prep+ Prime Face Protect SPF 50 <--- After used this one, less oily on my nose.

- MAC Prep+Prime Skin Refined Zone <--- This one is best for the pore, but need to apply before foundation.

- Bioderma Photoderm SPF30 <--- I love this sunscreen because it can be used on the eye area too.

Lower Left:

- MAC MSF Natural (Medium Plus) <--- Another HG Product! I love the finish, no powdery face at all!

- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free (Sand) <--- I don't really use foundation, and this product's coverage is enough for me, at least it won't break me out.

Now it's time for brow makeup.

- MAC Brow Pencil (Spike) <--- I used this to sketch the shade I want

- Kate Brow kit <--- Then to use this to fill up the part needed, sometime I used this for contour my nose area.

- MAC Brow Set (Baguile) <--- Lastly use this to set my eyebrow.

Next is eye makeup,

since as of now I don't go to school yet, so mostly I keep my eye makeup simple.

- Relvon Color Stay Eyeliner <---- Great for upper inner eyeliner, no panda eye at all

Little Birthday Haul

I had my little Birthday haul during my stay in Hong Kong on last week.

(Reminder: Everything not bought at the same day)

After 3 months of searching the best shoes I want,

and which comfortable for me to wear during my pregnancy,

finally I found it!!!! And this is the last pair of this color in the store!!!!

Honestly, I'm Adidas fans. I love their products so much, especially the original line.

(A little influence from my mom before during my childhood, she was Adidas's employee.)

Then the next day, I went to a little shop near MongKok to purchase some hair accessories.

I can leave or lose at least one or two hair accessories/ earrings everytime when I'm traveling.

And lastly, how can I not buying any beauty related products during my birthday.

However, this time mostly I purchased are skincare products.....

Today is my 24th Birthday, but this year not same as the previous year,

coz this year I don't have any special celebration,

My hubby and I just went to a mall to have a 4-D ultrasound to see Our beloved son,

then have dinner in a Spanish restaurant, after that we went home already.

The best gift I have this year is the pictures of our son.

(Is he adorable? He is smiling!!!!)

We are excited to see him on this coming November.....

Update about my life.... (2 news)

Hi everyone....

It has been awhile again since I blogged.....

Now I would like to share 2 exciting news in my life to all of you.

First, it's I'm no longer MISS... now I'm MRS. already.

(Just show you a little clue how I look like during my wedding....)

That day was the most touching, exciting day in my life... I still can't get over it... (LOL)

I will upload more pictures of my wedding once I got the DVD from my Brother and the photographers.

Second news is............ I'm becoming a MOM!!!!~~

I'm happy that I will have a very cute baby BOY soon.

me and my hubby are excited to meet our baby.

That's why lately I was not able to post any FOTD or EOTD as much as I can,

as we know that some traditional makeup are not healthy for baby,

but coming soon, I will post my daily face makeup routine using mineral makeup,

and also some skincare so far I love to use during my pregnancy.

My little EOTD: Feeling Green

Sorry for lacking of update, I was busying with my school stuffs again,

this coming Sunday will be the last day of my class for this semester,

then I can relax until 2nd week of April for my summer class.

I did a little experiment with my eyeshadows....

it ended up I felt like I'm so into GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out green eyeshadow looks good on brown eyes...

Product Review: Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipstick

If you have read my previous entry about my MAD haul in Hong Kong,

you will know I purchased a lot of stuffs from Bourjois, (My 2nd love aside from MAC)....

and one of the products is lipstick.

I adore the packing of Bourjois Sweet Kiss line lipstick.

My favorite color - Purple.

and also the design of this lipstick is different from the original lipstick,

there has a little button at the side of the lipstick,

you just need to push it up and the lipstick will slide up.

(Just like in this lipstick)

and the color I chose is Number 41 - Beige Elegant.

This color is recommened from the MUA since I asked what shade are the perfect nude color,

and at the bottom, you can see how the color of the lipstick looks like.

(For me, somehow like NYX lipstick.)

as what you can see, there has shimmer in this lipstick, but not over shimmered.

When I swatched on hand, it's a perfect peachy nude color,

and the finish just like MAC lustre finish, sheer finish but not dry on lips.

However, when I swatched on lips, the whole color payoff is total different.

(Bare lips)

(With Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipstick- Beige Elegant)

there has no peachy color or nude color payoff on my lips at all....

the only thing happen is made my lips look sheer and enhance my original lip color.

One total down side of this lipstick is the smell,

it just smell like the traditional lipstick. (Or maybe I just get used to the smell of MAC lipstick)

Aside from the lipstick, I also purchased some lipglosses from Bourjois,

will have my review soon and also review on Bourjois eyeshadow.

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Look 4 : Red Queen

Finally I did the fourth look of the Alice in Wonderland Inspiration Series,

but I'm not sure this will be the last look,

since I'm still trying to see if there has any other character inspires me to do any look.

So let me show the fourth character in my Alice in Wonderland Inspiration Series

RED QUEEN!!!!

I always laugh during the movie when I heard her says " Open his head! "

even my bf stuck with this line.....

but since I want this look to be more wearable,

I didn't do the exact eye makeup as the Red Queen wears in the movie,

(I don't like the idea that we will shave/ conceal our eyebrows,

and use a eyebrow to draw a line as the eyebrow... Totally a makeup crime for me!)

After long waited 1 and half months, finally Alice is in my arm.....

I love Urban Decay always includes a mirror in all of their palette.

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Look 3 : White Queen

Finally I did the 3rd Alice in Wonderland inspired look.....

and today's look is......

White Queen!!!~~

I love how simple her look is.

The focuses of her look for me are bold eyebrows and bold lips.

and her eye makeup just keep as neutral as she can.

so this is my way of achieving this look.

In the picture, White Queen's eye makeup actually somehow more on the brown tone,

but since I want to have a softer look and add some definition to my eye shape,

so I used pinkish plum color instead of soft brown.

Also since I don't have any bright red color lipstick,

I used Everyday Minerals New Shoes Blush to do the red lip look. Hehehe.....

and this is my total look.

You can see my face and the remaining body part have a great color different,

coz White Queen have a super white skin... so don't worry, if I wear this look out,

I won't have this color, I will use my normal color foundation or tinted moisturizer.

I don't want people to see ghost in the day time. LOL....

My Internatinal swap with Love.

Maybe some of you don't know that actually I love swapping with other pretties.

Last year I started swapping in Makeupalley just for fun,

but since I'm in the Philippines, most of the people in Makeupalley don't swap internationally,

so as of now my tokens only got few, however, all positive tokens.

And today finally I got my lastest swap package from one lovely girl - Naomi.

I waited this package for almost a month, if I didn't go to the postal office to follow up,

I will never received this package at all... I think the postal office needs to improve their system.

I'm too excited, after I rapped the wrapper, I just realized that I hadn't take any picture of it.

The original swap is only include 11 sample size of her MAC pigment.

But she included extra 2 gifts for me.... How sweet is she right?

1st) Canmake Perfect Sunscreen UV SPF50 PA ++

2nd) Missha Cleaning Tissue

and when I opened the pigments, I was shocked!!!!

Initially I thought it will only contains little products (1tsp),

as you see, the pigment almost more than 2/3 full.

As a member of Makeupalley, we know that we won't use the products until the other swapper got their end.

so I'm sorry I can't make any swatches for all of you,

once Naomi received my package, for sure I will make swatches.

and now, all of new MAC pigments have a nice home together with my other 3 pigments...

Alice in Wonderland Inspiration Look 2 : Mad Hatter

Oh ya!~ Today my inspiration look is my favorite character - Mad Hatter!!!!

Maybe I love this character is because the one who act it is my favorite actor - Johnny Depp,

Johnny never fail to surprise me in all of his movies,

I love how he deliveries each character and makes the character more unique.

This is the look of Mad Hatter in the movie.

but I can tell you guys today the makeup look I did, almost followed the same on in the poster,

which means it is not wearable as the one I did yesterday.

Alice in Wonderland Inspiration Look 1 : The Cheshire Cat

Yesterday my BF and I went to watch "Alice in Wonderland",

my BF thinks that this time they made the movie much better than before,

but for me, this was the first time I watch ""Alice in Wonderland" movie,

aside from Johnny Depp's character, the Cheshire Cat will be my favorite character,

I love how weird its smile is... (Yes, I'm that weird too....)

So today I did a inspired makeup look, inspired by the fur of the Cheshire Cat

so this is how the Cheshire Cat looks like in the movie,

if I didn't remember the wrong thing, in the cartoon version, the Cheshire Cat is pink in color.

and this is my wearable version of Cheshire Cat look.

Happy to be a Ninang (Godmother) again

Today I attended the christianing of Therese and Ray son's (Tristan) Christianing,

since Therese asked me to be one of the ninang (Godmother),

Tristan is a very cute baby boy just look like the dad.

Aside from being a ninang again (the first is the nephew of my bf),

I also meet my classmates (during collage year).... most of them I haven't see them for a year.

I love this picture so much, but the original picture is blurred, so I photoshopped it.

Therese made fun of me said Baby Tristan likes me a lot and I'm an expert in nursery. LOL

FOTD - My MAC Style Black Version?

Last year MAC released the most gorgeous black collection - Style Black,

I bought 2 mineralized eyeshadows (Young Punk and Blue Flame).

Finally today I opened and used the Young Punk....

Product Review: Maybelline EyeStudio Creamy Gel Eyeliner

Hi everyone!!~~ I'm back with another product review again.....

I'm sorry if anyone of you doesn't like to read product review entry,

since I got many products since Christmas and I wasn't able to post any review in the past,

but I promise I will post other kind of entries tomorrow,

So I will start my review now.....

The product I review is the Maybelline EyeStudio Creamy Gel Eyeliner,

I know in US they have a new version (or is it the same!?) just released lately.

in the Philippines they are selling the same version the one which I owned.

However, I bought mine during my trip to Taiwan, and the color is limited edition.

(In the Philippines, they only selling black and Brown.)

At the back of the package is printed in Japanese... (I don't understand at all... =_=")

I love Maybelline included a eyeliner brush together with the gel eyeliner. (Plus Point!)

It is a fine eyeliner brush and the bristles are so soft......

On the bottom of the gel eyeliner....it said it is made in Korea....

Let's see what limited edition color is this....

It likes a red wine color with little shimmer in it.

Swatched on hand using the eyeliner brush which included with the gel eyeliner:

The eyeliner brush can make a thick line and thin line,

so easy to handle, can be used by beginners

Let's check if the eyeliner is it waterproof.....

so I let my hand under a running water for a minute,

after that, used a cotton pad to rub my hand for 30 secs.

more than 90% products still STICK on my hand.....

Then, try to see if is it easy to take off by using a makeup remover.

(In the test, I'm using the makeup remover from Maybelline)....

I let the cotton pad with makeup remover placed on top of the eyeliner for 10 secs then swiped it downward....

The eyeliner is gone!!!!

Lastly, I did a sweat + smudge test....

I wore it today from 1pm to 9pm (include 40mins walking under the sun),

these are how the eyeliners look like when I freshly applied at 1pm.

Then these are how the eyeliners look like at 9pm when I arrived home...

(there has little smudge on the inner corner of my right eye, but not that obviously)

What can I say about this product?
This product has really great quality even though it is a drugstore product. For me, this even better than my MAC Fluidline, coz this fluidline does smudge on my eye, I mean it smudges badly.....

My score for this product:
4.5 out of 5 (limited color selection)

Will I purchase again?
Yes, but not the same color (it will take me awhile to consume this bottle), I think I will purchase the brown one.

I think on March I will be using up more items since some of my skincare are almost done,

My bf is also having a "NO-BUY" period since he will be going to HKG with me end of this month,

and I dared him this evening if start from today until the day we arrived HKG,

I will be buying him a new jersey as a gift for him.

This brand I think not really much people notice about,

especially in US and the Philippines... since this brand is from France.

(I love the lavender color of the package!!!!!)

and it has 25 wipes in it.

Price:
I'm not sure about it, since I got mine as a freebie from my purchase

the size of each wipe is 2/3 size of the length of my laptop.

Let's have a test to see the ability of this product in removing makeup

on my hand, I got pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipgloss, lipstick and waterproof mascara.

First try... Place the cleansing wipe on top of my hand for 10 sec before rub it. (one stroke downward)

on the cleansing wipe:

and on my hands:

(it still have some pencil eyeliner & lipstick, and most of the liquid eyeliner and mascara)

second try: leave the cleansing wipe again on top of my hand for 30 secs then rub it downward.

on the cleansing wipe:

on my hand:

(only some liquid eyeliner and mascara left on my hand)

I rubbed my hand gently for another 10 secs.

All the makeup are on the cleansing wipe !!~~

What's my though about this product?

I think this product is better in removing those makeup which are not waterproof, since it needs more rubbing in removing waterproof makeup.
Also when I used it on my face, I had little burning sensation, I know it doesn't contain alcohol, but just don't know what cause the burning sensation on my face.

Will I buy this product again?

Probably not, since it only contains 25 wipes and it causes me burning sensation everytime after I used it. I prefer MAC cleansing wipe more.

I sprayed the brush cleanser directly to the bristles of the brush,

and clean it in a circular motion on a cotton pad

What's my thought about this product:
I think this product did a pretty good job as a spot-clean brush cleanser. After I used it everytime I'm done with my makeup, I felt my skin gets less irritation from the brushes.
(Since if you don't clean your brushes frequently, bacteria will grow and the end your skin will get breakout or allergy.)

Will I buy this again?
Yes!!!! But need to find ways to buy it, since this product still not available in the local department store.

Today I will be reviewing one of my Everyday Minerals products,

since there has a sis asked me to review Everyday Minerals products,

but for me not every Everyday Minerals product is nice,

so I will review the products I had by category.

The Summer Bronzer Pressed Powder looks like this.

This is the new packaging, since the old packing was using paper container.

What's the description from the website:

Ingredients:
Mica (CI 77019), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Lauroyl Lysine, Tocopherol Acetate. May Contain: Zinc Oxide (CI 77947), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

( I bought mine during the time they still selling the 12 pieces kit)

When you open the compact, it has a mirror and a thin sponge in it.

(Honestly, I don't use the sponge at all, I prefer use a brush for it.)

and a nice thing about this compact, there has a plastic cover between the sponge and the bronzer,

so the sponge won't get dirty (even though I don't use it).

This bronzer has 3 color

A: a chocolate color
B: brown color with pink undertone
C: soft beige color

Swatched on a color pad

If you look closer to the powder, you might see some shimmers in it,

but when you applied on the face, it gives a glowy look than a shimmer look.

This bronzer for me (MAC NC 3o skintone) doesn't really showup that much,

and I'm not a person who likes to use bronzer everyday,

so I used this as my contouring powder (A + B + C) on my cheek for contour,

and I love the natural outlook of it.

Will I buy this again?
Probably not, since this will take me awhile to finish and the price now is not really user friendly.

My Project 10 Pans

Finally, after how many months I made up my mind and decided to join "Project 10 Pans"....

I'm sure if you are always watching YouTube, you will know this project what's all about,

if not, lets me have a short explanation about this project.

"Project 10 Pans" has been raved among many Gurus in YouTube,

this project aims to finish 10 beauty related items in a certain period of time,

in order to save up some places in your vanity area.....

or used up the items before they got expired, instead of wasting it.

And the main idea of this project is "NO SHOPPING or HAUL" of beauty items,

before you had accomplished this project.

Ya! I know it's hard to control yourself from all the temptations in the mall/internet,

but well, it's also a nice time to strengthen your self-control and save all the money.

So here are the 10 items I chose to be my objects for this projects.

First is Herbacin wuta kamille + glycerin Hand Cream.

Second and Third - MUFE Waterproof Lengthening Mascara & Covergirl Lash Blast

NOTD: Still feeling Valentines?

Actually this was the second nails I did after the pink x black french nails,

the first one I just used OPI - Done in Deco without any design,

after one day, I didn't like it anymore, so I changed it again.

When the time I was thinking what will be the design,

suddenly I saw one of the nail art stickers I bought from Sasa,

which I got it during the time I went home for Christmas,

so I used it to create these nails, the outcome so Valentine's Day feeling.

I should have it during the Valentine's Day than now,

Well... I still love these nail designs even though it seems to be wrong timing.

The roses and the stones really pretty right?

One of my friends said that this nail design can be used by bride during the wedding,

simple but yet pretty enough to lighten up the whole look.

What do you think?

From my opinion, nail stickers are totally useful in saving your time to have a prefect nail design....

when you don't have time to draw one or you are too pig to do so,

So I'm sure I will purchase more nail stickers next time (last week of March) when I go home.

Usually I don't really fix my hair very well when I go to review center to review my upcoming NCLEX ,

since my review is in modular style, I always wear headphone listening to the discussion.

I hate the headphone will compress my hair on my ear area,

and my hair will look funny after I took off the headphone,

so hair-band is my must-have item during my review day.

Happy Valentines and Kung Hei Fat Choi

I'm back again with a little FOTD and OOTD during this special day in this year,

since in my memory this is the first year Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are on the same day.

I did have the same makeup with the one I show in the previous entry....

so this is the final look of the day.

Yes... my usual dresscode always be t-shirt, jeans and sneakers,

or sometime shorts if the weather is too hot,

but most of the time skirt won't be in my dresscode.....

I even have only 2 skirts and 2 one-piece dresses in my cabinet.

Can't imagine myself look so chicks......

my BF was shocked when the time he fetched me in my house... LOL

But I do love this pair of shoes....

I got it from Duty Free when the time my mom visit me,

originally cost USD$5x, but they were having discount in shoe section,

so ended up only cost USD$32.5...

Great deal right!?

Since our plan for today will be roaming around SM Mall first before dinner,

in SM Mall, their air-con always killing me,

so I got one of my favorite jacket with me.

My little Update + NOTD + Contest Update

Hi everyone!!~~ Sorry for lack of update in the past 2 weeks....

I was dying with my research study for my master class,

finally I'm done with my chapter 1 and tomorrow will have it check by my instructor,

hopefully she will approve what I have done.

So as all of you know from my previous entry, I got a fake Facebook account,

I did report to the Facebook admin, and they deleted that account on the next day.

I'm glad that Facebook deleted that account as soon as they got my report,

I just pray that thing likes this won't happen to me anymore.. PLEASE!!!!!!

Ok... calm down..... let's talk something related to beauty...

2 days ago I have my nails done.... no fancy no too much decoration....

just simple french tip nails, but not the usual pink + white.....

This is the outcome.....

This thing totally help me out!~ I never do french tip nails before since I don't have steady hand,

Beside doing my nails... I also tried to do a makeup look for this coming Valentine's Day...

this look I mainly use white, pink and brown, since my eyes will look buffy with pink e/s

I did put on a false lashes on the outer corner of my lashes...

So far I'm kind of like this eye makeup, maybe I will just have this on tomorrow.....

I'm so sorry to say this, but I will like to inform all of you who read my blog that,

may be in the future I will no longer doing any Face of the Day post,

because just in this evening I found out that there has a person who stole my pictures,

no matter from my Friendster account or from my blogs,

to make a Facebook account which it is not my original account at all,

I reported that to Facebook already, just waiting for their reply.

I don't know what is the intention of that person to use my pictures to fake an account as if he/she is me,

but I'm kind of shock plus angry about that, or maybe even terrified.

I really don't know what's in that person's mind.

So, I'm so sorry about I will be not doing any Face of the Day post,

but I will still go on with my Eyes of the Day, and if I will make a Outfit of the Day post,

just expect the pictures are without my face.

I hope this can also give all of you a warning that there has many kinds of people in this world.

This time I used two Kanebo Testimo Single Eyeshadow to achieve this look,

I know it is not a new info about the Testimo liner no longer sell in Kanebo counter,

but I'm still kind of sad about that, since many products from this line are great.

Ok, today is one of my school's day, (I usually have class 3 times per week only)

so I did my everyday look for school, as what the title means,

this look almost I wore it everyday during my college time,

since if I didn't have any eye makeup when I go to school,

I always look sleepy in class, especially morning class (@7am... oh hell class!!!!),

and I don't want people stare at my sleepy face, so this look really helps me to look awake.

Here are the products I used to achieve this look:

Steps in achieving this look:

1. Apply (a) on the first 1/2 of the eyelid

2. Apply (b) on the second 1/2 of the eyelid, blend the harsh line between 1 & 2

3. Apply (c) on the V-cut area then crease out to the crease area

4. Apply (d) on the first 1/2 of the lower lashline

5. Apply (c) on the second 1/2 of the lower lashline

6. Use Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner draw the eyeline on the upper lashline

7. Apply CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara

Oh ya!!!~~ Lately I'm back to my eye makeup days...

Even though my hardheaded said he will die soon because of my makeup,

but it won't affect my mood in putting on eye makeup,

since lately I have full makeup when I'm not with him,

(when with him, no makeup/nude makeup only)

So today I did another experiment, I tried to have a brown/blue combination,

and the outcome seems like pretty nice....

Finally the thing I'm lemming and waiting for had arrived at my house today!!!

Yup!!!!! It's my first traincase ever!!!!!

Since coming March I will be transfer to another house, I planned to buy a traincase,

so that when the time I'm transferring to another house,

it will be less hassle for me to pack my beloved stash,

finally on last week I found a online store in multiply which they have many kinds of traincase,

and on Sunday I settled my mind which I will get and paid the payment,

then now it's in my room!!!!!

The one I ordered is named the "Black/Red Pro XL Makeup kit".

Is it just adorable!? I love the black and red color combination and how inside separate.

The size of it was 13inches x 11 inches x 8 inches.... Not really that big but it's fine for me.

Somehow I still thinking how will I place my stash in this traincase,

My Latest Collective Haul

Hehe.... Yup!!~~ I was hauling since the time I came back from HKG....

I know I shouldn't be hauling since I purchased a lot during Christmas,

but I just can't resist from these cuties who calling my name to pick them up.....

So I got the following things:

NARS Hocsommer-set
Revlon Matte Blush
Vaseline Lip Therapy in SPF 15 Sun Protection and Rose & Almond Oil
CoverGirl Lash Blast in 830 Black
Prestige The BIGGEST Lashes
Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner in 01 Deepest Black

Among all these cuties.... NARS haul was the happiest haul I had....

Why? Because this NARS set released during Christmas in HKG,

and when the time I went to their counters, all MUAs told me it's sold out already,

so when I went to the counter in Rustans, I found out this set is still available,

I immediately told the MUAs from NARS to keep one for me.

Supposed I still want to purchase a palette, but my hardheaded gave me a look,

and he also said those colors don't suit me at all, they make me look old.

So the NARS Hocsommer-set actually is a mini multiple set

It includes the three most popular color in NAR: (From L-R)

Copacabana, Organsm and South Beach

The color of the multiples just exactly the same with the color it shows in the box...

and look how cute it is....

I can't wait to try them out!!!!!!!

Swatch: Revlon Matte Powder Blush

Now I will start review the products from my lastest collective haul.....

The first item I will be reviewing is the Revlon Matte Powder Blush.

Where did I purchase: Department Store in Ayala Cebu
Price: P625 (approximately USD $13.58)

This is the first blush I tried from Revlon, and actually in my whole life I only own 2 Revlon items,

the first one is the Colorstay One-Stroke Defining Liner in 01 Blackest Black,

and the second one will be this one.

The color I chose is 002 Blushing Berry.

In the counter it has 2 rose colors, but the other one not really show in my skin when I swatched it.

So this is how it looks like when you open it,

it comes with a mini brush, but I don't really use it since it's too small and kind of scratchy.

And there has a button beside the brush, and when you press it,

there has a mirror popped out from the side.....
(Hello!!!~~ You can see my camera from the mirror... Hehe...)

Swatched on my finger..... The color not really show up...

and I don't know why they said this a matte blush, because this blush has a little sheen in it,

but when I applied it on my cheek, it gives my a natural blushing look, so I still satisfied with it.

Lately I suddenly into drugstore products... Especially Revlon, Maybelline, I don't know why,

but I feel like I should try out more... Since in YouTube many pretties mentioned that some drugstore brands have improved their product's quality.

So what's your favorite drugstore products? Let me know, so that next time I can try it out.
